2024 James Bond Sean Connery - 1oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin

This coin pays tribute to James Bond's iconic association with the Aston Martin DB5. First appearing 60 years ago in the 1964 film Goldfinger, this sleek 'silver birch' sports car has become a symbol of James Bond. Heavily modified by Q Branch for Bond's mission against international gold smuggler Auric Goldfinger, the car was equipped with an array of exciting features, including a tracking device, tire slashers, a smoke screen and oil slick, a bullet-proof rear shield, and dual front-mounted machine guns. When Bond found himself in danger, he even used the car's ejector seat to dispose of an unwanted passenger. Sean Connery’s Bond was seen driving this thrilling vehicle again in 1965’s Thunderball, and it later reappeared in films such as GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time To Die. This coin, struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
